Anyone try this with a 755P? I'm considering PDAnet, but wondering if this might work, or if anyone is familiar with another hack.

As part of the install, Aonics includes instructions on going into "Development Mode". Interesting! Any ideas what ELSE could be done from there?

My Tether was working fine and my netbook recognized fine and all. Suddenly, when i open my Tether and click on "On" to turn on USB Tethering, it won't change to "on". My netbook says "Connected with limited or no connectivity" and I can't get online.

Any suggestions?
Problem: Can't get my palm pre My Tether to turn on USB Tethering.

Ok all. So, I have partially solved the problem. I sat outside, up on my Grandpa's porch, enduring tropical rain, sprinklers and reptiles, for the last three hours, reading through the forums, and quickly realized that I needed to go through and update everything. Thus I did; VirtualBox, Java and Palm SDK. Then I updated to the latest version of MyTether, and it's now working in USB mode. But, I have two issues:

First, it still will not work in WiFi mode. Please walk me through any steps necessary in order to get WiFi working, there are others here who would like to be able to use the net when the main WiFi connection goes down. While I have dug through the forums and tried every suggestion I've found, please assume that I missed something simple and we can start there.

Second, when I was up on my Grandpa's network, I tested the net at:

Ping: 15ms
Download: 6.98 MB/S
Upload: .098MB/S

Things were blazing faster than ever, I was downloading bit torrents at 650-700 KB/S.

Now, I am on the Sprint network (did I mention that I am using the first gen palm Pre, on Sprint, using WinXP?)... Tests are as follows:

Ping: 317ms
Download: 0.98MB/S
Upload: 0.03MB/S

The bit torrents went down to 115KB/S. Yes, I know, large data downloads over the network, bad, bad. I was just testing it out.

So, how to get WiFi working, and any suggestions on speed? I am on an Ev network with 4/5 bars of reception.

I have posted this in the donor forum as well, where we will discuss it further. I just wanted to post how I fixed it for y'all. No need to reply here.

Hey all, I'm going nuts here! This has always been a wonderful product for me, however recently it is not working. I am a donor and am going to see if I can log into the donor help forums and post this message there as well. When the big WebOS update came out, I upgraded per instructions, and the program half worked. USB tether works great, but wireless does not. But, recently something has happened and I am unable to even use the USB tethering. I've always had to re-install the drive when I plug it in,it's not "saved" or anything. But, this only takes a minute and I have never had a problem until now,... And I've also never really needed te program until now either- I'm on vacation on Kaui and while I do get some wireless signals, they're not reliable. So, as usual I turned on USB tethering and did the following:
*When the welcome to hardware update wizard first pops up and asks me to connect to windows update, I choose "no, not this time".
*Then I choose "install from a specific list or location".
*Then I choose "dont search, I will choose the driver to install.
*Then I select "network adapters"
*Then I select "have disk" and find the "usbnet-pre.inf" file and click open.
*I then click OK.
*I then click next, and continue through the warning messages.
*Last, I am told there was a problem with installing and am brougt back to the beginning.

In the device manager, it continues to show an error with the device.

I thought perhaps I needed a good internet connection while installing, so I drove around the condos until I found one... Verified it worked, and then tried the wizard, same problem.
