I followed all the instructions and got the My tether on my Palm pre. But I am trying to use a Acer Iconia Tab A100 to go on the internet via my Palm Pre, which is on the Bell network. So why is AONET the network listed? Is it possible to do this on the Bell network? Or does it matter? Either way my Tab cannot "see" the Hotspot created by my phone. Any suggestions?

I have a Verizon Palm Pre. Currently I pay for unlimited access for my phone...as well as an additional monthly charge to use it as a wireless hub for my computer. So I am being double charged I think. The wireless hub has a monthly limit. I would like to just use the tether so that it only shows that I am using the phone vs the hub. Can I do that with your program? Will the tethered service slow down tremendously? Do you allow a free trial offer so I can see if this will work?

I used to have a droid. I just tethered it.....and away I went. No extra charges. I don't need a wireless hub as I only use one computer and it goes with me everywhere.

Thanks

[...] Of course, you can run Linux on Android too but it’s still too slow and at its infant stages unlike WebOS where you can slap on some Lighttpd and MySQL to run a mobile WordPress hosting platform. [...]

I had the same problem as some of you, i could connect and get an ip address but i had no internet access. The hot spot had updated to v. 1.1.4. You need to un-install any other version and re-install the hacked 1.0.14 version. DO NOT ALLOW ANY UPDATES, PERIOD! any updates that are downloaded to your phone are not hacked and therefore do not work on anything other than verizon.

I made this some days ago and the difference to the palms default max 600MHz is incredible.

It works as a charm! I set min 1GHz and max 1GHz so it allways runs that fast.

The apps open faster, work better, and everything is faster!

Dunno why it was not default...
